With Mother’s Day fast approaching, we decided to ask the mothers in our office where their favourite place to holiday is and where they would love to one day buy.
It is not surprising that sun, beautiful landscapes, great food and of course a place to relax are high on the list when choosing where they would love to either move to or have a second home. Below are their top picks.
With frequent flights from the UK, great weather and enough to keep families of young and older children happy, as well as beautiful places for mums to relax and of course shop, it is not surprising this is one of our favourite places for mothers.
Yes us mums do like the sun, and another place to not disappoint is Malaga, surrounded by stunning landscape, blessed with beautiful beaches and wonderful shopping from designer store to cheaper one off stores. Our favourite is Calle Marquies de Larios, a beautiful pedestrianized street flanked with boutique shops, enough to keep everyone’s mum happy.
The film and book “Under the Tuscan Sun” introduced us to the romantic and challenging aspects of renovating a beautiful old villa in one of Italy’s’ most stunning places. Loved by one of our mums not just for romance, but for the amazing regional food, wine and weather, creating the perfect combination for escaping and relaxing.
Having visited this region for the past 15 years and having owned a property just outside of Bezier, no wonder this is one of our mum’s favourites. We love the climate for both winter and summer activities and there is plenty of access to the great outdoors. As a family who enjoy beaches, rivers and access to mountains we feel this region ticks all our boxes. The climate is wonderful, perfect for our active family and property prices are still affordable and cheaper than its neighbour Provence.
